Let me do a little introduction. I am Vladimir, an enthusiast amateur landscape and street photographer from Sofia, Bulgaria. You can see me on the left in my natural environment, shooting the lovely landscapes of my country from a peak nearby the place I live.
I consider photography a passion, a mission, and a retreat from the constant stress of everyday life. Finding a scene, getting there, setting your tripod, and waiting for the right light and moment in time is a form of meditation in this fast-paced and busy world we live in. Compressing all the sensations you feel at a location into a two-dimensional (digital) piece of paper is the greatest challenge and biggest reward to a photographer and this is what I strive to achieve with my photos. It is up to you to decide whether I’ve succeeded.
I love shooting landscapes, street scenes, both in color and in black and white. Feel free to browse the website and check my Portfolio or my Blog where I write about my latest adventures or about the photo shooting process and philosophy as a whole.
My primary job is in the field of psychology and data science. When I am not busy building and analyzing complex psychological and personality tests, I love going outside with my beloved Samsung NX30 and shoot the beauty around us. I also love skyrunning, trekking, and hiking, which I try to combine with my passion for photography. Shooting a landscape photo with an APS-C camera while running downhill is not the easiest of things to do so sometimes I have to reach for my HTC to make a picture. After all, the best camera is the one you have with you, isn’t it?
